Design for Space is a second year project. I was asked as a free-lancer to participate to guide the students in this project. During my guidance I focussed on the game-design of the groups, but also trying to see how to team can work better as a whole.
This time there was a mix between HKU students and students from the University in Utrecht. Two totally different kind of people had to work together, this was an interesting experience for me to guide them.
Level design lessons for second year students for 8 weeks on the Utrecht School of the Arts(HKU).
I took part of giving lessons and guidance to 2nd year students, where they learned how to use editors like the Portal 2 editor and the Warcraft 3 editor.
During the lessons I made own made examples on how to use the editors as well as helping the 2nd graders to analyse their level design on how to make it better.
Design for Space is a second year project for 12 weeks on the Utrecht School of the Arts(HKU).
I took part to give guidance for the groups in this project. Mainly I focussed on asking the 2nd graders questions about their design chooses.
During this event I learned to change the way to ask questions, ask them if things are correct instead of saying things are incorrect and asking them how to solve it.
